Aitor Karanka, the assistant manager of Spanish giants Real Madrid, has moved to quell talks about the injury sustained by their French striker Karim Benzema saying that the forward was withdrawn eight minutes into the second half of their Spanish League encounter against lowly Granada purely as a precaution.
The French international forward, who scored twice in the 5-1 thumping of the newly promoted side, was substituted in the second half, sparking rumors that Benz would be out of the crucial King’s Cup tie second leg encounter against Malaga CF, which the capital side are leading 3-2 on aggregate.
However, Karanka is adamant that there is nothing to worry about Benzema being a part of the Real Madrid side in that match, and that it did not seem to be serious. Benzema is almost certain to travel with the side to take part in the match.
