StoryRONALDO CONSIDERING RETURN TO ENGLAND

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo's future in Spain has been thrown into doubt after it was revealed that the Portuguese star is considering returning to English football.

Cristiano Ronaldo is regarded as one of the greatest players in recent decades after his exploits with Manchester United led them to numerous league titles and one Champions League title.

Manchester United also made it into the finals of another Champions League. Despite all the success he enjoyed with Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo decided to move to his favourite club Real Madrid a few seasons ago for the record transfer of £ 80 million.

Even though the move has been a great success for him personally in terms of the wages and number of goals scored, it has been extremely poor in terms of the trophy return in comparison with the Manchester United days.

Cristiano Ronaldo regularly lifted a major trophy during his time with Manchester United, but so far, he is yet to win the league title with Real Madrid. Even though Real Madrid are in a much better position to bring back the league title to the capital for the first time since 2008, it has been revealed that Ronaldo would consider returning to England if possible.

Fans in England made Ronaldo their hero, but it has not been the same in the Spanish la Liga. The Portuguese star has been involved in a number of altercations with various supporters over the years. He has also been subjected to indiscriminate punishment from the referees.

They all have made him extremely disillusioned with life at sunny Madrid. As a result, he seems to have spoken to his close friends about the possibility of the move back to England. It would be interesting to see if Manchester United can afford his transfer fee.

Ronaldo will decide his future after the European Championships have been concluded, at the start of July. According to the latest Euro 2012 betting odds, Portugal have little more than an outside chance of getting to the Final, so at least Ronaldo will have plenty of rest ahead of the new season - wherever he ends up playing!
