Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane has surprisingly revealed that he likes Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard more than Real Madrid’s own Cristiano Ronaldo or Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.
Ronaldo and Messi have widely been considered as the two best players in the planet. However,Hazard is fast developing into a real successor with his eye-catching performances for Chelsea. The Belgian winger is having his best season as a professional till date after having scored 18 goals and created 10 assists. Jose Mourinho last season placed a £ 100 million valuation on the 24-year-old, who considersZidane as his idol.
Zidane, in turn, has praised the former Lille man by saying that Hazard now has more influence on the pitch than ever before. The Belgian has failed to score or assist only once in the last seven games for Chelsea. After having signed a new five-year contract only recently, it is highly unlikely that Chelsea will be prepared to let him go under any circumstance. However, the lure of playing underhis idolZidane may prove infectious and the 24-year-old could submit a transfer request in a couple of years.Zidane is expected to be promoted as the new manager of Real Madrid should Carlo Ancelotti leave the club.
“Obviously, there is Lionel Messi and Ronaldo, both of whom are spectacular, but I like Eden Hazard more.I like everything he does on the field. I like his behaviour, his decisiveness and love to see his progress every year. There is still scope for further progress, and if Chelsea are to win the league this season, Eden will have had a lot to do with it,” said Zidane. The former French international is currently in charge of the Real Madrid B team and is currently preparing to take his coaching badgeswith a view of becoming a top manager.
