The Real Madrid attacker Cristiano Ronaldo has said that he will not be leaving the Spanish club at the end of the season, while also saying that he wants to see out his contract. Ronaldo has a contract with the club until the end of the 2015 season.
Recently, he admitted that he was sad at the club, but failed to disclose the reasons. He has been linked with a move to several clubs like Manchester United and Paris St Germain in the last few months. Ahead of the tie with Manchester United, Ferguson spoke about the possibility of Ronaldo returning to Old Trafford permanently.
Ronaldo has ruled out such a possibility at least in the summer by saying that he wants to remain at Real Madrid till the end of his contract. He has admitted that there is a lot of pressure at Madrid, which is primarily due to the desire to win the 10th European cup. Real Madrid hold the record number of European titles won – 10. Even though the media have said that Madrid will be the favourite to get past the last 16 stage of the Champions League, Ronaldo thinks that it will be extremely close to call because United had been impressive in the first half of the season.
“I want to see out my contract at Real Madrid. I’m very clear about that. After that, well, I don’t know what’ll happen in the future. I think there’s more pressure at Madrid than at United. I’ve been here for 3½ years now and I think that’s the case because everyone involved is totally focused on winning the club’s 10th European Cup. That creates a certain amount of anxiety, which can be felt at all times. Every Madridista wants that 10th European Cup – we’re more than aware of that," said Ronaldo.
