The Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has cleared up all the issues going on involving his future and a potential move away from the Santiago Bernabeu as the 32 year old forward rejected all the reports and rumors which claimed that he was leaving Real Madrid.
¨I never said that I would leave Madrid. I commented at a dinner with teammates that I was hurt, that I felt mistreated, persecuted and treated as a delinquent when I fulfilled my tax obligations following the instructions of my advisers and lawyers, both in England and in Spain¨
That is the statement which Cristiano Ronaldo was quoted as saying a few days ago.
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo both have recently been involved in tax evasion issues as it´s believed that they owe millions of dollars after avoiding filing their tax properly or not having done it at all.
It´s because of these issues that rumors started spreading around like wildfire with the Portuguese being linked with various clubs away from Spain interested in signing the 4 time Ballon d´Or winner.
Even if there are any clubs willing to pay Cristiano Ronaldo his Real Madrid wages of around £365,000-a-week, the Portuguese player does not have any real reason or motivation to leave the Santiago Bernabeu.
Since arriving to Real Madrid back on 2009, has gone accustomed to life in Spain as well as polished his playing style and if he did indeed decided to join another club, there is a chance that it can hamper him in a way as he would have to start from the ground up once again with a new team, new players and possibly new country as well.
There is no doubt whatsoever that the 35 year old player is a fans favorite in Real Madrid and the head coach Zinedine Zidane along with the owner Florentino Perez will do anything to fully satisfy his needs.
