Real Madrid has defeated Celta Vigo in a La Liga match played at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday. Madrid won the match by 2-0. This was the fourth win for Madrid in the ongoing La Liga. With the help of this comfortable victory, Madrid has now moved up to no. 4 in the points table with 14 points in 8 matches.

On the other hand, Celta Vigo lost its fifth match in the tournament. Celta has managed to win only three out of the eight matches that the team has played in the ongoing La Liga so far. Celta is currently placed at no. 13 in the points table with 9 points in 8 matches.

It was Cristiano Ronaldo again who proved to be the stand out performer for Real Madrid. The Portuguese superstar took advantage of the penalty kick that the team had got in the 67th minute of the match and played a wonderful shot to put the ball into the left hand corner of the net. This was Ronaldo’s 9th goal in the ongoing La Liga. He is currently the second highest goal scorer in the competition. The Barca striker Lionel Messi has scored the most number of goals in the tournament so far i.e. 11 goals.

Earlier, Madrid took the lead of 1-0 in the 11th minute of the match with the goal of Gonzalo Higuain. Kaka was the one who set up the goal for Higuain by giving him a wonderful pass and Higuain didn’t miss that opportunity. He smashed the ball over the head of the goal keeper of Celta to take his team ahead in the match.

Real Madrid didn’t have a very good start to the season. But, Jose Mourinho’s team has made a great comeback and has won three out of its last four matches in La Liga.
