Juventus attacker Cristiano Ronaldo is a target for French club Paris Saint Germain (PSG) according to Spanish media outlet SPORT. It was revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo would be a target for PSG if they lose the services of French World Cup winner KylianMbappe to Real Madrid.
It was revealed that the transfer of Mbappe could start a chain reaction of big transfers. Mbappe has 12 months left on his PSG contract just like what's obtainable with Ronaldo at Juventus. Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo has 12 months left on the four-year deal that the 36-year-old forward signed when he swapped Real Madrid for the Old Lady three years ago.
PSG have maintained that Mbappe is not for sale this summer but the French club risk losing him for free at the end of his current deal next summer.Rumours suggest that PSG will finally bow to the pressure of selling Mbappe this summer and then turn to Ronaldo. PSG are long-term admirers of a quality player like Ronaldo and it remains to be seen if the Portugal national team skipper will finally sign for the French side.
If Ronaldo leaves Juventus for PSG, there would be a vacuum at the club. Juventus might agree a deal with Barcelona, probably on loan, to sign Frenchman Antoine Griezmann. Barcelona are keen to lower their wage bill to ease their financial burden as they have not been able to sign their new players and free agent Lionel Messi whom they have agreed a new five-year deal with.
Apart from Juventus, Griezmann has been linked with a return to Atletico Madrid. He left the La Liga champions to sign for the Catalans in a €120m deal two years ago. A swap deal involving him and Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez has been discussed between the two clubs involved. Griezmann is said to favour a move back to Madrid if he's to leave Barcelona this summer.
