Sky Sport reporter Gianluca di Marzio believes Aaron Ramsey won’t be heading through the exit door at Juventus despite an average debut season. The Wales international joined the Bianconeri on a free transfer after playing for more than a decade with Arsenal, but he has not been able to make the impact desired.

The midfielder made 35 appearances for the Serie A holders last term, but he averaged only 40 minutes per game. On top of this, he was able to contribute only four goals and one assist and missed certain phases of the campaign with minor niggles.As a result, he has already been tipped to head for the exit door, but Di Marzio has ruled out the possibility due to the length of the player’s contract and the high wages involved.

He added that Sami Khedira is the most likely candidate to head for the exit door with his contract expiring in less than a year’s time, he told: "I think Aaron Ramsey will stay. He is on a lot of money, with a good contract, so it would be difficult to find another solution. Also I think he is not the one Juventus want to sell. (Sami) Khedira is the one. (Blaise) Matuidi has finished his contract. So I think Ramsey will stay at Juventus."
Ramsey has been linked with a possible comeback to the Premier League with West Ham United, Everton and Newcastle United named as potential candidates to sign him. However, neither of the clubs have so far succeeded in their attempt and it would come as a huge surprise, should Ramsey accept a new challenge in England after spending 11 years with the Gunners. Of late, it has been reported that the Bianconeri could offer Ramsey in a potential swap deal to re-sign Moise Kean from Everton this summer. He may, however, need to take a pay-cut on his hefty £300,000-a-week wages.
