Real Madrid attacker Cristiano Ronaldo has said that he wants the Brazilian footballer Kaká to stay at the club. Kaká and Cristiano Ronaldo were the high-profile signings for the club three seasons ago, with both players being brought to the club for around relatively the same amount of money.
However, the impact they have had to the club has been extremely different. While Kaka has struggled with a lot of injuries and lack of form, Cristiano Ronaldo has been absolutely brilliant in this last three seasons. The Portuguese attacker has been constantly improving, while Kaka has been constantly going downhill.
It has been rumoured that Kaká as likely to be sold in the summer by the manager José Mourinho in order to raise funds for the arrival of Luka Modric.
Despite these rumours, the Portuguese attacker Cristiano Ronaldo has said that he enjoys playing with Kaka and hopes that the 31-year-old has not elected to leave the club. Real Madrid manager José Mourinho has confirmed that he will certainly not stand in the way of the Brazilian if it is actually the club, but is not willing to let the player leave on a free transfer. It is understood that Real Madrid will demand around £ 25 million for the midfielder.
"Whether Kaka will leave the club or not is a decision he has to take himself, but I think he will stay here. For me his is one of the best players in the world, and all the best players have to be at Real Madrid. We want to keep improving because it will be a long season. What we all want is to start the season in the best way. We are working well together and we want to start the league on form," said the Real Madrid striker Ronaldo.
